The purpose of an attachment is to make available work related items to the maintenance activity. Once Attachments are created and the entity with the Attachments is referenced, the Attachments “flow”. For example, if you establish Attachments for an Equipment record and reference that Equipment in a Work Order, the Attachments from the Equipment are included in the Work Order. Attachments may be associated with:
- Work Procedures
- Work Orders
Attachments may be either a URL or “link”. A URL may be created by checking the URL check box then keying the URL desired. Click the View button at the bottom of the Attachment List to view a URL in the list. To create a link to an object, click the Assist Edit button to the right of the column.

Navigate to the object desired for the link and click Open. To open the linked object, click the Assist Edit button and navigate to the object then right click your mouse button. Select the Open With option and choose the tool you desire to open the object.

To remove an Attachment from the list, position the cursor on the row and delete the entry by pressing F4 or right click on your mouse and select the Delete option.
